NEUR 86001 Neurorehabilitation

Students will be provided with a broad introduction to the field of neurorehabilitation. The major objectives of this clinical elective are to achieve a greater knowledge of neurological and musculoskeletal diseases and their treatment and gain an understanding of the basic principles of rehabilitation. The student will learn the clinical and rehabilitative care of patients with strokes, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord trauma, and other neurologic disorders. The student will gain clinical skills in the evaluation and management of functional neurological impairments.
