RADS 86003 Radiology

Students will be introduced to the basic principles of radiologic imaging and interpretation necessary for clinical management, including key areas of chest, musculoskeletal, and abdominal and pelvic imaging. Additional areas of exposure will include emergency/trauma imaging, neuroradiology, breast imaging, and nuclear medicine. In addition to plain film imaging, students will also be exposed to advanced imaging modalities including CT, ultrasound, and MRI as well as diagnostic procedures within radiology such as CT-guided biopsy, fine needle aspiration, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and an introduction to interventional radiology.
