FMLY 86003 Geriatric Medicine
In this rotation, the student will be exposed to the care of the older patient in various clinical settings. The student will be able to gain proficiency in geriatric assessments and begin to develop management plans for common geriatric issues. Students will understand the role of the various members of the interdisciplinary care team. Students will also focus on non-medical issues in caring for the older patient and will develop greater comfort in discussing goals of care and advanced directives with patients.
