FMLY 86006 Population Health
Students will be introduced to clinical population health and epidemiology at the Tarrant County Public Health Department. Students will have the opportunity to participate in community-based health care delivery in a primary care setting with attention to areas including infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV medicine. During this elective, students will rotate through the epidemiology, tuberculosis, and STD/HIV clinics at Tarrant County Public Health. Additional focus will be placed on addressing the challenges of achieving health equity in healthcare delivery to marginalized populations.
