MEDS 86009 Principles of Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics

This elective is designed for students wishing to pursue postgraduate training in Pediatrics and specifically, to provide them with a focused study on the principles of pediatric clinical pharmacology and therapeutics. To augment the value of this overarching objective, the student and faculty preceptors will produce a scholarly work (mini-review) pertaining to a contemporary issue in pediatric pharmacology and therapeutics of interest to the student that is suitable for publication. Collaboration between the student and faculty preceptors is critical in fulfilling the objectives of this elective rotation and will take place during the one-on-one sessions for each activity described above. They will work cooperatively and collaboratively in creating a publishable scholarly work and submitting it to a suitable biomedical journal for consideration of publication.
