SURG 86009 Vascular Surgery

Students will participate in the diagnosis, medical management, and operative care of patients with congenital and acquired diseases of the vascular system. Students will have exposure to the diagnosis and management of vascular disease of patients in the office and hospital setting, including operative and endovascular management of a wide range of vascular disorders such as acute vascular thrombosis (arterial and venous), aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, cerebral vascular artery disease, venous disease, and peripheral vascular disease. Areas of focus will also include vascular diagnostic modalities and imaging.
