IMED 86007 Nephrology
On this rotation, students will participate in the care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, including patients who require hemodialysis. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the pathophysiology, pathology, and pharmacology of common disease conditions that affect the renal system, including glomerular and tubular injuries, acid-base disorders, fluid and electrolyte disorders, obstructive renal disease, and acute and chronic kidney disease.
