IMED 86013 Cancer Prevention, Treatment & Surveillance

Students will participate in an innovative approach to the care of patients at risk of various forms of cancer, which will include not only the clinical management of patients with a cancer diagnosis, but also evaluating populations at risk, cancer screening and surveillance strategies, and long-term cancer survivorship. Students will participate in the evaluation and treatment of patients within the medical oncology clinics, chemotherapy unit, and imaging unit at the Moncrief Cancer Institute. Additional time will be dedicated towards population-based screening initiatives, as well as cancer survivorship and surveillance programs.
