IMED 86010 Transplant Hepatology
Students will participate in the evaluation and management of patients with acute and chronic liver disease. Areas of focus will include interpretation of diagnostic laboratory studies, imaging, and liver biopsy as well as therapeutic modalities such as endoscopy and paracentesis. Students will be exposed to various clinical settings including inpatient management of liver failure, complications of cirrhosis, intensive care management, and liver transplantation.
